My First 90 Days

BUDGET

Before making promises to the residents of Orange County, I would need to have a complete understanding of the department’s finances. As a newly elected Sheriff I would start by taking a deep dive into the budget.

A complete view of the budget would allow me to have comprehensive knowledge on how the department can meet the goals and expectations of Orange County residents and communities.

COMMUNITY

Next I would focus on community outreach to gather information from the residents of Orange County to see not only where we can improve, but get a better understanding of the expectations of Orange County Sheriff Department.

I would also provide regular updates through social media and create a website for the department with news, updates, and provided easier ways for the community to reach out to the department with questions, concerns, requests, and other valuable information…allowing clear and transparent communications between the residents of Orange County and the Sheriff’s Department.

PATROLS

Finally, after understanding the Budget and what the Community is expecting from the Orange County Sheriff Department, I would implement realistic plan(s) with the goal of achieving those expectations.

Additionally I would work to expand the department to extend our patrol hours to include weekends and/or evenings by posting new job opportunities, interviewing candidates, and looking to hire additional staff to support the community of Orange County, VT
